Introduction
In WM1, you can change the format in which dates and currency appear within the desktop client windows and the compact application (CAP) panels.
| Note | To complete these procedures, you will be working in your WM1 installation file structure. Depending on the version of WM1 that you have installed, you may see references to Dynaman instead of WM1 in your file structure. The steps and images in these procedures refer to Dynaman. |
Prerequisite
To complete these procedures, you must have:
- Notepad or Notepad ++ (recommended) installed, and you must be able to open Notepad as an administrator.
- Administrative permissions in WM1 to ensure that you can edit system files.

Change the currency formats for desktop client windows and CAP panels
Introduction
The currency formats in your WM1 environment for both desktop client windows and CAP panels are based on the Windows® region and language settings of the machine on which a user is logged in. For desktop client users, this is the desktop from which they log in. For CAP panels, this is the WM1 application server to which the CAP user logs in.
You can change the currency formats by customizing the Windows region and language settings. The procedure may differ somewhat for server and desktop clients. On a desktop, from the Control Panel, open the Region and Language dialog box. On a server, from the control panel
Procedure
- On the Windows server or desktop, from the Start menu, click Control Panel.
- Take one of these actions.
