Introduction
The setup guides are intended to be used to:
- Learn how to manually add basic data using the Iptor WM1 desktop client.
- Configure the functionality required to create the foundational layer of an Iptor WM1 installation.
| Note | Additional setup tasks are performed with support from Iptor project team members. In most cases, the remaining data required to make a Iptor WM1 installation operational is entered through transactions from a host system, or through imports from Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets. The setup guides do not explain how to perform those tasks. |
Audience
This guide is intended for:
- Individuals who are responsible for defining the standard operations.
- System implementers who are configuring Iptor WM1 to meet specific operating requirements.
Character formats and limits
When defining codes and descriptions, the following character formats and limits apply.
- Codes – Alphanumeric with a 10 character limit.
- Descriptions – Alphanumeric with a 50 character limit.
Recommended workflow
There is a setup guide for each data group or functional area to be set up. Each guide includes prerequisites along with the step-by-step instructions. For best workflow, set up your system by following the guides in the order that they are presented below. Note that, the recommended sequence is not strict and can depend on the areas you want to implement and/or the domains that you want to phase for go live.
